   Legacy HS Choir began with 65 students and as of 9-21-07 we are the proud group of 80 members!

2 choirs: Legacy Ladies (35) and Chamber Singers (45)

Mission statement:

Legacy High School is proud to begin a choral program that will emphasize learning, accomplishment, growth and excellence. We believe that discipline and hard work in an environment of energy and fun are the basis for what we will be able to achieve. Thank you for committing yourself to a year of choral excellence.

Description of Choirs:

Legacy Chamber Singers is an advanced mixed choir of students for grades 9-12. This choir encompasses many groups, including showchoir, madrigals, varsity men and varsity ladies. Students MUST HAVE competent sight reading skills. Students are expected to rehearse and perform at the highest level of their ability. Chamber Singers are EXPECTED to support and participate in auditions, voice lessons, solo/ensemble, trip and recruiting. This choir performs at all LHS choir concerts and at UIL contest. Members are selected by audition based on sight reading skills, tone quality, attitude, work ethic and grades.

Legacy Ladies is a treble choir for grades 9-12. This is a select ladies choir by audition including sight reading abilities. This choir will feed the Legacy Chamber Singers. Students are expected to rehearse and perform at the highest level of their ability. This choir performs at all LHS choir concerts as well as UIL contest and festival contests. Members are encouraged to enroll in private lessons and participate in all the opportunities offered through the Legacy Choral Department.
